The Mountain Watershed Association is concerned with the conservation, restoration and protection of the Indian Creek Watershed in Westmoreland and Fayette Counties, Pennsylvania.
We are a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We have over 800 members. Please consider joining!
Our major purposes include bringing about remediation of the numerous abandoned mine discharges resulting from over 125 years of irresponsible mining practices in the Indian Creek Watershed, developing community awareness, promoting cooperative community efforts for remediation and encouraging sound environmental practices.
