fish bulletCommonwealth Court Upholds Curry Decisions!

On February 3 Commonwealth Court upheld lower court decisions to deny Amerikohl Mining's petition for special exception for the proposed Curry Mine-- which would have been located adjacent to Ohiopyle, the Yough, and the Great Allegheny Passage. More details to come as we review the decision-- but for now a big thanks to everyone who supported us in opposing this proposal! It's a great day to get out and enjoy the Yough!

We’re excited to unveil the new website for the Indian Creek Bike/Hike Trail, the eight mile multi-use trail that runs through the Indian Creek Watershed. The ICV Trail is excellent for skiing, biking, walking and running.

The Mountain Watershed Association was founded in 1994 to conserve, protect and restore the Indian Creek watershed and surrounding areas in Fayette and Westmoreland Counties, Pennsylvania. In 2003, MWA became home of the Youghiogheny Riverkeeper, expanding our vision into the larger Youghiogheny River basin.
